Hairy to hero in 3 easy steps…
We receive many questions about that dreaded morning task millions of men reluctantly carry out every day, shaving. The problems we encounter with shaving every day can cause reactions in the skin ranging from razor rashes and burns to dry, flaky skin. To combat these skin conditions we pioneered the 3 step system:
Prepares your stubble and skin for shaving, whilst cleansing and invigorating, making the shave smoother and easier. The step includes the award winning Self Heating Hot Towel Mask, which self-heats to soften the beard and lift the bristles.
Allow your razor to glide over your skin by using a professional formula Shave Cream or Gel to lubricate and moisturise, reducing razor burn and redness. Our low foaming gels let you see where you're shaving.
Leave the skin soft, moisturised and protected after shaving. Daily Skin Soothing Balm and Anti-Wrinkle Cream help to keep your face looking younger.
Words of Wisdom from our Master Barber

When to shave
It's best to avoid shaving first thing in the morning after you wake up. If possible, let your skin wake up a while. This allows the "puffiness" you encounter from fluids collecting in your skin during the night to recede, thus allowing you to get a closer shave when you do begin the task.
-
Cleanse and exfoliate
Cleansing your skin before shaving is important so you don't push the dirt into your pores causing spots. Wash your face before with our Daily Face Wash which is perfectly balanced for all skin types. Use an exfoliator such as our Daily Facial Scrub to remove dead skin cells and open up the pores of the skin every couple of days.

Warm up the bristles
Stubble should be wetted with warm or hot water; shaving after a shower is ideal to prepare the skin for a smooth, close shave. This swells the hair shaft allowing the blade to cut the hair, not your skin. If you're short on time our award winning Self-Heating Hot Towel Mask is ideal.
-
Cream or Gel?
This decision is purely personal preference, our shave creams come in two types: a moisture rich Traditional Shave Cream and the icy blast of our Menthol Shave Cream (this one will really wake you up). Remember our creams are double concentrated so less really is more! The gels, such as our Super Slide Shave Gel are low foaming to allow you to see exactly where you're shaving.

The Razor
Always use a sharp blade. A dull blade is responsible for many shaving cuts as it drags over your face and catches your skin along with the hairs of your beard. Rinse the blade regularly in hot water and use short strokes to avoid clogging the blade.
-
Moisturising
After shaving you should always apply a moisturiser like our Daily Soothing Balm. This will help to re-hydrate your skin helping to avoid dry skin and irritation caused by shaving. If you're worried about wrinkles and signs of ageing our Advanced SPF15 Anti-Ageing Moisturiser will combat wrinkles, reduce the signs of ageing and protect the skin from the sun's harmful rays. Used everyday will keep your skin looking and feeling younger.
Nothing but natural
The natural, organic ingredients used in all our products aren't there just to sound nice. We use them because of the benefits they bring to your skin.
